Teresa is an incredible runner who demonstrates an athlete’s ability is in their mind and heart as much as their legs. Having recently completed 10 laps - an amazing 67 kilometres - at the We Gotcha Backyard Ultra, Teresa talks of how she has fallen in love with the race format, with aspirations of introducing the concept in her hometown of Hervey Bay. But it’s not come easy, as Teresa discusses running in balance with being a Type 1 Diabetic, as well as surgeries on her leg when she was younger following a horrific car accident. Teresa also discusses candidly her anxiety when in a race environment, but the importance of having a go, and finding equanimity in both the challenge and fun of pushing beyond her limits.
